Linkedin, NSDC To Accelerate Digital Skills Training For Indian Youth

Linkedin, NSDC To Accelerate Digital Skills Training For Indian YouthThe networking portal for every officials and job seekers and givers out in the desert, LinkedIn announced a partnership with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC). The partnership was announced on Tuesday. It will provide free access to LinkedIn Learning resources for upskilling the Indian young professionals and thereby make a future-ready digital workforce.

With this partnership around, 10 free LinkedIn Learning paths, that covers 140 courses for a range of in-demand tech jobs will be available for free on eSkill India digital platform. This scheme expires on March 31, 2021.

As per LinkedIn data, Indian professionals having digital skills get 20 percent more chances than professionals lacking digital skills, 2020.

Keeping this in mind, the LinkedIn and NSDC collaboration is aimed to make a future-ready digital workforce by giving access to learning modules for free and create 10 in-demand jobs in the present digital economy.

Ashutosh Gupta, India Country Manager, LinkedIn, said, “Our partnership with NSDC further reinforces our commitment to close the skills gap and help the Indian workforce upskill for jobs of the present and future. We hope to continue to use the power of our products and platform to build a more equitable and just future, and create economic opportunity for all.”

LinkedIn said the 10-free LinkedIn Learning roadmaps will give Indian youth the platform for acquiring skills for 21st-century jobs.

The learning roadmap has a series of video content specially crafted to give job-seekers chance of developing core digital skills required for any in-demand tech role, covering a broad range of skills, starting from entry-level digital literacy to advanced product-based skills.

LinkedIn will give three soft skills LinkedIn Learning paths for free on the eSkill India portal.

LinkedIn will provide periodic labour market insights on LinkedIn’s Economic Graph for 69+ million members in the country.

It includes in-demand skills, emerging jobs and global hiring rates for NSDC for better understanding the program.
