HCLTech, a technology company, has been chosen as a Design Solution Partner (DSP) as part of the Samsung Advanced Foundry Ecosystem (SAFE) program. This partnership is intended to advance semiconductor technology through the combination of HCLTech's expertise in engineering and research in conjunction with Samsung's foundry technology.

As part of the SAFE-DSP program, HCLTech will provide ASIC design services utilizing Samsung's semiconductor manufacturing as well as a support model for efficient chip design and development. Additionally, as part of this agreement, Samsung will provide advanced semiconductor technology training for HCLTech employees. The company will also support technical services in executing turnkey projects, as well as improve access to wafers through Multi-Project Wafer (MPW) programs to facilitate prototyping and production.

"By leveraging the strengths of both HCLTech and Samsung Foundry, we aim to drive advancements in semiconductor technology and meet the changing demands of the global market," said Sanjay Gupta, Corporate Vice President of North Asia at HCLTech

Also, the company was selected by Samsung Foundry in December last year to join the foundry's Virtual Design Partner (VDP) program. This program is designed to accelerate semiconductor technology development through collaboration in the areas of design and manufacturing. HCLTech's application of 'spec-to-platform' methodology will drive advancement in system-on-chip (SoC) development and provide custom silicon solutions across industries.
