Enterprise cloud computing firm Nutanix hires Faiz Shakir as India head

xEnterprise cloud computing firm Nutanix today announced the appointment of Faiz Shakir as managing director for its India business effective Monday, 15th November.

Shakir joined the company in February 2016 as sales director responsible for Southern India and Sri Lanka and worked most recently as the Enterprise & Commercial Sales director covering the whole of India. Prior to Nutanix, he worked at Dell EMC and NewWave Computing in India in sales leadership roles, the company said.

“Faiz has had a highly successful tenure during his time with us. We are confident his broad internal network and camaraderie with his team in Nutanix, his knowledge of the channel partner ecosystem in India, and his customer relationships position him well to lead our business in the country,” said Neville Vincent, Nutanix VP for ASEAN, ANZ and India.

Earlier, Nutanix had said that its India business had grown 22% in terms of the number of customers in the fourth quarter of FY21.
